Daily Scripture Relfection March 13

March 13

Esther C:12, 14-16, 23-25

Matthew 7:7-12

“If you…..know how to give good gifts to your children…”

Children tend to soak up everything we give them.  Be it fear or faith, trauma or comfort, loss or joy…whatever goes in tends to stay with them.  As adults, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, we have a responsibility to shape their experiences in positive ways.  The almost complete dependency of children on the world around them is one of the reasons Jesus is always so protective of them in the gospels, and also why they are of used in scripture as examples of faith and trust.  So whether we are nurturing them or imitating them in our relationship with God, may we never forget their importance.
