Daily Reflections- Thursday, March 6

March 6

“I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.”

Our readings today are all about choices, and invite us to think about the many choices we are called to make every day.  We call ourselves Christian as followers of Jesus, but does that calling really show in how we live our lives? Do we actually spend much or any time in actual prayer and fasting?  Do we treat others with love and respect, even on days when they may not be very lovable?  Perhaps rather than “giving up” something this Lent, we might instead consider what we might do for others….spend time with a grandchild, visit a sick friend, offer to take someone to church. These can be good first steps on our Lenten journey.
